Setting Up A/B Testing with AI Agents in Taalk

Overview

AI Agent Group Management in Taalk allows you to optimize the performance of your AI agent campaigns effectively. This feature enables you to test and evaluate different agent personas, voices, and scripts within your campaigns. By leveraging A/B testing, you can compare different AI agent configurations and determine which setup yields the best customer engagement outcomes.

How to Set Up A/B Testing with AI Agents

To perform A/B testing, you will create an Agent Group that includes multiple AI agents and map this group to a campaign. This allows Taalk’s system to distribute interactions across different agents, making it easier to analyze performance variations.

Step 1: Create or Select an Agent Group

  1. Navigate to "AI Workforce" > "AI Agents" from the top navigation bar in the Taalk UI.
  2. Click on the AI agent you want to configure.
  3. Under the "Voice and Behavior Settings" section:
    • If you haven’t already created an Agent Group for the campaign, do so now.
    • Select the Agent Group you want to use for testing.
  4. Click Save Changes on the AI Agent.
  5. Repeat steps 2-4 for each AI agent you want to include in the test group.

Step 2: Assign the Agent Group to a Campaign

  1. Navigate to "Contact Center" > "Campaign" from the top navigation bar.
  2. Select the campaign where you want to test different agents.
  3. In the campaign settings, go to the "Dialer Strategy" section from the left navigation panel.
  4. Scroll down to "Outbound Dialing Strategy".
  5. Locate the "AI Agents" section and assign the Agent Group you created in Step 1.

Analyzing A/B Testing Results

Once your A/B testing setup is live, Taalk provides detailed insights into agent performance.

Where to View Results

  • Navigate to the Campaign Reporting section.
  • Look for the AI Agents Utilization graph to analyze how each agent in the group is performing.
  • Compare key metrics such as engagement rates, call duration, and customer sentiment to determine which agent configuration is the most effective.

Tips for Effective A/B Testing

  • If you need to quickly create a variant of an existing AI agent for testing, use the "Duplicate Agent" feature:
    • Click on the three-dot menu next to the "Save" button in the top-right corner.
    • Select "Duplicate Agent" to create a copy of the existing AI agent.
    • Make minor adjustments (e.g., voice, tone, scripting) to test different variations without starting from scratch.
  • Ensure that your Agent Group contains a balanced mix of agents for meaningful test results.
  • Run tests for a sufficient duration to collect enough data for analysis.

By following these steps, you can systematically optimize your AI agents and enhance overall campaign performance in Taalk.
