Syncing Changes with AI Agents of the Same Group

When you edit a persona inside a Taalk Agent Group, you’ll see two save options:

Save Changes (Current Persona Only)
Sync Changes with All Personas in the Same Group

These options control whether your updates apply only to the current persona or to all linked personas that share the same campaign logic, while preserving their individual characteristics such as voice, name, and tone.

🧠 Concept Overview

In Taalk, Agent Groups are collections of personas that share the same:

Core logic (objectives, scripts, rebuttals, routing)
Knowledge base
Campaign linkage

…but differ in their presentation (e.g., voice, name, accent, tone, or demographic styling).

Think of it like this:

One brain 🧠, many personalities 🎭.

When you “sync changes,” you’re updating the shared brain for all the personas in that group.

⚙ Save Options Explained

Option	What It Does	Use Case
Save (Current Persona Only)	Saves changes only to the persona you’re editing. Other personas in the group keep their existing scripts, objectives, and logic.	When you want to experiment or customize messaging for just one persona without affecting the rest.
Sync Changes with All Personas in Group	Updates shared components (scripts, objectives, logic, triggers, KB links) for every persona in that group. Their individual attributes like name, voice, and tone remain untouched.	When you want all personas in a group to use the same new messaging or updated flow logic.

🧩 What Gets Synced

When syncing, Taalk applies updates to all group members for these shared layers:

🟢 Example

You have an Agent Group called “Auto Warranty Advisors” with three personas:

If you update the script and choose “Sync with All Personas”, all three will instantly receive the new flow.

However, their voices, names, and tones will remain exactly the same.

If you only choose “Save Current Persona,” the change applies only to Jessica — Daniel and Ana continue running the previous version.

🧭 Best Practice

Use “Sync with All Personas” when updating campaign logic, compliance text, or knowledge base links.
Use “Save Current Persona” when experimenting with tone, pacing, or voice-specific phrasing.
