Overview

Your campaign in Taalk.ai defines the dialer strategy, controlling how calls are managed and distributed. For the dialer to function effectively, it requires a continuous flow of fresh contacts. Keeping your campaign hopper full ensures that your agents always have leads to engage with, maximizing productivity and conversion rates.

Contact Format

When preparing your CSV file for upload:

  • Standard Fields: You can use name, last_name, and phone without any prefixes.
  • Custom Fields: All other fields must be prefixed with Taalk_ to ensure they are correctly interpreted and utilized by the Taalk AI agent.

⚠️ IMPORTANT ⚠️

  • Header Consistency: Field headers in your CSV must exactly match the required field names, including case sensitivity.
    • Example: Taalk_vehicleyear would be treated as different field from taalk_vehicleyear or TAALK_vehicleyear .
  • AI Agent Dependencies: Ensure all fields required by your AI agent are included with matching headers. Missing or mismatched fields can cause issues with data processing.
  • Tracking Information: Include any necessary tracking fields to support downstream systems and reporting.

How to Upload Contacts to a Campaign

Follow these steps to upload your contacts:

  1. In the Taalk.ai UI, go to the "Contact Center" section.
  2. Click on "Campaigns" and select the campaign you want to update.
  3. On the right-hand side, click the "Contacts" tab.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
  5. Click the "Upload from CSV file" option.
  6. Select your properly formatted CSV file and upload it.

Once uploaded, Taalk.ai will process the contacts and integrate them into your campaign.

When creating your CSV file, ensure your headers are formatted like this:

name, last_name, phone, Taalk_vehicleyear, Taalk_vehiclemake, Taalk_vehiclemodel, Taalk_City, Taalk_State, Taalk_Zip

This ensures that both the standard and custom data fields are correctly mapped to Taalk.ai’s system.

Best Practices

  • Validate Data: Before uploading, review your CSV to ensure there are no missing mandatory fields or typos in the headers.
  • Small Test Upload: If working with large datasets, consider uploading a small batch first to confirm everything processes correctly.
  • Keep Data Clean: Remove unnecessary whitespace and ensure consistent data formatting (e.g., phone numbers should follow the same format).
