Rich Email Composer in Taalk Playbook
Overview
The Taalk Email Composer is a powerful interface for building, personalizing, and tracking outbound email campaigns at scale. Whether you’re configuring transactional follow-ups or launching an A/B-tested outreach sequence, this tool provides the flexibility to customize content, subject lines, sender identity, and dynamic links — all in one place.
Key Sections Explained
Subject Lines
Enter one or more subject lines, each on a new line. If you provide multiple entries, Taalk will automatically distribute them across sends for A/B testing. This helps optimize open rates and identify the best-performing subject.
Example:
You’re missing out on something big
Let’s talk—your results are waiting
We built this for you (yes, you)
From Lines
This defines the sender name that appears in the recipient’s inbox. Similar to subject lines, multiple sender names can be tested by entering one per line.
Example:
Tara from Taalk
Jeremy | Customer Success

Body (Raw HTML or Rich Text)
The body field supports HTML email markup. When the “Show RAW HTML” checkbox is enabled, you can paste or write full HTML emails, including inline styling, image URLs, and tokenized variables.
If you prefer to use a visual interface, toggle the Rich Editor (WYSIWYG) to drag-and-drop text blocks, insert images, and preview layout across desktop or mobile views.
Tips:
-
Use <a> tags with href to link tracked URLs.
-
Use placeholders like for personalization (must be mapped to your data source).
-
Test rendering across email clients before sending.
Links
This section lets you pre-define all URLs used in your email body. Each line should be a standalone link.
You may also define:
-
Play ID: A unique identifier used in reporting or to dynamically load link-specific logic.
-
When the link is clicked: Trigger events such as “Mark Contact as Interested”, “Send to Webhook”, or “Fire Conversion Pixel”.
Example:
https://taalk.ai/demo
https://yourdomain.com/product-launch
Unsubscribe Link
Compliance with CAN-SPAM and TCPA guidelines requires every marketing email to contain an unsubscribe option. Paste your unsubscribe URL in this field. If this is left blank, we will default to Taalk's Unsubscribe manager
Best Practices
-
Keep subject lines short and high-impact (under 60 characters).
-
Always test your HTML rendering in both Gmail and Outlook.
-
Include alt-text for any image used.
-
Ensure your unsubscribe link is visible and functional.
-
Use UTM parameters in links for campaign attribution in analytics.
